As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for an OEM Business Development Manager to strengthen our relationships with leading automotive manufacturers and drive business opportunities at the heart of the industry. One main focus will be on German OEMs.

 

Your Mission

In this strategic role, you will be the key interface between our company and major automotive OEMs, ensuring that our solutions are top-of-mind when it comes to materials selection and innovation. You will collaborate with our technical sales team, with various team of our Innovation and R&D center. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Building and nurturing strategic partnerships with automotive OEMs, ensuring our company is recognized as a trusted partner.

  2. Driving business development by identifying and influencing new applications for our engineering plastics within OEM ecosystems.

  3. Leading the commercial process with OEMs, from RFQs to contract negotiations, in coordination with internal sales and technical teams.

  4. Anticipating industry trends and translating OEM strategies into actionable business opportunities.

  5. Mapping OEM supplier networks to identify and develop key stakeholders within their value chain, and make relevant connections within the organization.

  6. Promoting our product portfolio by organizing workshops, technical reviews, and innovation discussions with OEM engineers and decision-makers.

Qualifications and skills

You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of the automotive value chain. To be successful in this role, you should have:

 

  1. A Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers or related fields.

  2. Experience in OEM business development, key account management, or technical sales (preferably within automotive Tier 1 or materials industries).

  3. A strong ability to build long-term relationships with OEMs at different organizational levels, from R&D to procurement, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  4. strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends and translate them into business opportunities.

  5. Technical acumen to engage in meaningful discussions about material applications in automotive engineering.

  6. Goal-oriented and driven, with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding business targets.

  7. Well-connected in the OEM ecosystem, with the ability to leverage and expand key relationships.

  8. Fluency in German and English and the ability to travel as needed.
